My name is Jane Nathan and I have been teaching at White Brook since 1975. How many years is that? I live in Granby, Massachusetts with my husband, Jim, and my son, Tom. Recently, a stray black cat has adopted us as his family. We have named him "Spooky". He is very fluffy and has bright green eyes.
Jim and I consider the island nation of Jamaica as our second home. We have been visiting there for over thirty years. Of course, my favorite music is Reggae, especially Bob Marley.
My favorite color is green and my favorite food is chicken (any way), but I like fruits and veggies too. I also LOVE ice cream and chocolate.
WHAT'S MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY?
I BELIEVE THAT ALL OF US ARE LIFELONG LEARNERS WANTING TO EXPERIENCE OUR WORLD. WE WILL DO THIS THROUGH PROBLEM-SOLVING METHODS. I BELIEVE IN GUIDING, MOTIVATING, AND SUPPORTING STUDENTS AS YOU BECOME ENGAGED AND EMPOWERED IN YOUR OWN LEARNING.
