The following is a brief overview of classroom music and chorus. For detailed information on the Fine Arts Department, course content, grading information, and expectations, please click on the appropriate link in the sidebar.

 Classroom Music

Students attend exploratories for a full academic quarter. This allows Art and Music to present an integrated, progressive four-year curriculum that connects to our students' academic content areas.

During their music rotation, students have the opportunity
to explore a variety of topics including music theory, and vocal and instrumental music from a variety of genres and eras.

Chorus

Chorus is an after-school activity. It is not graded, and there are no fees or auditions. For our rehearsal and concert schedules, click on the link in the sidebar.

Shared Fine Arts Topic

Each year, the Fine Arts Department chooses a topic that will be studied in depth by students in art, music, band and chorus. It will also be the main theme of our annual Fine Arts Showcase in the Spring.

This year's topic is The Jazz Age.

White Brook's music curriculum is aligned to the
Massachusetts Fine Arts Framework, and the standards
of the Music Educators National Conference.
