As your new superintendent I have been busy this summer meeting with administrators, faculty, staff, School Committee members, community members, and local officials to learn more about the Easthampton Public Schools and the Easthampton community.  

Although a resident of Easthampton and an employee of the school system for many years, I am determined to spend considerable time during my first year meeting people and listening to questions, input and feedback in order to deepen and broaden my understanding of the strengths and challenges that define the Easthampton Public Schools.

My goals as we begin the school year include:

•    Maintaining visibility and keeping lines of communication open to input from faculty, staff, and the community.
•    Acquiring a comprehensive understanding of critical issues in the district and the processes and procedures that are in place to address them.
•    Transforming data effectively into information to guide improvement strategies.
•    Implementing and nurturing improvements to make a strong district an innovative district known for excellence.

I look forward to working with each one of you in providing every Easthampton student with the skills and knowledge needed to be career, college, and workforce ready in the 21st century.
